Eugene Yaremenko

A resident of Dmitrov (Moscow region), a citizen of Ukraine. A case was opened against him for flag desecration, as well as theft with significant damage to a citizen (para. "c" part 2, article 158 of the Criminal Code) - he was accused of stealing a bicycle. The court placed Yaremenko in custody. Witnesses in court claimed that Yaremenko shouted "No to war", "Russian occupants" and called for Putin's resignation. The Ukrainian citizen was also charged with discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (Article 20.3.3 of the Administrative Code) and disobeying the lawful demands of a police officer (Article 19.3 of the Administrative Code). In the first case, he was fined 30,000 rubles. On 23 September 2022, Yaremenko was sentenced in the criminal case to two years in a penal colony. Presumably, he was released in April 2024.
