Evgenii Chetvergov (Nuian Vidiaz)

Chetvergov is a resident of Mordovia, Russia, an agricultural scientist, writer, and editor-in-chief of the independent newspaper Erzian Mastor.

In October 2023, it was reported that a case had been opened against him on charges of participation in the activities of an extremist community. According to the investigation, he, together with other local residents, "sought to create an independent Erzian state".

The case was submitted to the court in January 2025. On 10 April 2025, Chetvergov was sentenced to a two-year suspended sentence.
