Evgeny Domojirov

Former coordinator of Navalny's headquarters in Vologda. Former editor-in-chief of SOTAVision.

On November 11, 2011, Domozhirov was accused of pushing and hitting in the groin an employee of the Center for Combating Extremism, Roman Kopylov, during the dispersal of a rally of “Strategy-31”, and pulled the collar of the shirt of policeman Konstantin Lebedev. On September 17, 2012, he was sentenced to a fine of 120 000 rubles. After the verdict came into force, Dozhirov was deprived of his mandate as a deputy of the regional legislative assembly.

On 30 July 2016, late at night, a group of law enforcement officers came to Domojirov's house and tried to conduct a search there. The politician's elderly mother blocked their way, demanding to show the necessary documents, but the police officers tried to force their way in; as a result, Domojirov's mother injured her arm. The Domojirovs appealed to the district police officer, who promised to come and examine the bruises on the woman's arm, but never came. On August 9, the investigator for especially important cases of the first department for investigation of especially important cases of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Vologda region initiated a criminal case against Galina Domozhirova under Article 319 of the Criminal Code: according to the investigator, Domozhirova during an unsuccessful search attempt "deliberately with the purpose of insulting" the police officers "began to publicly express profanity" in their address, "insulting them as representatives of the authorities and humiliating their honour and dignity". Later it became known about the initiation of proceedings and on Domojirov himself - according to the investigation, in late July 2016, he "deliberately, in response to the lawful and reasonable demands of a police officer to conduct investigative actions, publicly, expressing coarse profanity, insulted this representative of authority, humiliating his honour and dignity. In addition, in August this year Domojirov posted in the information and communication network "Internet" a text and comments to it containing phrases that humiliate human dignity on the grounds of belonging of persons to a certain social group". On 17 November 2017, Domojirov was acquitted under the articles on libel and humiliation of a social group, and sentenced to 60 hours of compulsory labour under the article on insult.

In 2020, a case was again brought(https://tffvoufz---mekodxpr-bsccljbcrq-ez.a.run.app/express-news/2020/09/14/v-vologde-protiv-mestnogo-zhurnalista-i-lidera-dvizheniya-vmeste-vozbudili) against the journalist under the article on insulting representatives of the authorities because of a video on his YouTube channel. In the video, the man criticised the actions of local officials who had decided to build up the territory of a public garden in the city. In February 2021 the case was dismissed (https://tffvoufz---mekodxpr-bsccljbcrq-ez.a.run.app/express-news/2021/02/17/v-vologde-prekratili-ugolovnoe-delo-protiv-zhurnalista-i-lidera-dvizheniya) - the court did not find any signs of crime in the activist's statements. In October 2022, it was reported that Domojirov was wanted, but the Investigative Committee denied (https://tffvoufz---mekodxpr-bsccljbcrq-ez.a.run.app/express-news/2022/11/02/sk-v-otnoshenii-glavreda-sotavision-net-ugolovnyh-del-po-kotorym-mozhet-byt) this information. However, Domozhirov published (https://t.me/sotavisionmedia/6964?single) a criminal record certificate stating that he had been wanted since May 6 for a case of a traffic offence causing serious harm to human health (part 1 of article 264 of the Criminal Code).

On December 1, 2022, a case was opened against Domozhirov for disseminating deliberately false information about the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
