Biography

Together with Lieutenant Sergei Arakcheev, commander of an engineer-sapper company, he was accused of killing three Chechen residents on January 15th 2003 on a country road near Grozny. In June 2004 he was acquitted after a jury found him not guilty, but the verdict was overturned in November of the same year. In October 2005, a jury again found Khudyakov not guilty, and he was again acquitted. This decision was publicly condemned by the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov. In June 2004 he was acquitted after a jury found him not guilty, but the verdict was overturned in November of the same year. In October 2005, a jury again found Khudyakov not guilty, and he was again acquitted. This decision was publicly condemned by the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov. In April 2005, the verdict was again cancelled. The third trial was held without a jury, and in December 2007 Khudyakov was sentenced to 17 years in prison. He did not appear at the announcement of the verdict and was put on the federal wanted list on January 14th 2008.

On August 24th 2017, Khudyakov was detained in the Vladimir region, after which he was sent to Rostov-on-Don. Later there was information that he would be sent to a colony. On September 24th 2022, a message appeared in the telegram channel "DO NOT wait for me from Ukraine", from which it followed that Yevgeny Khudyakov died in the war while being part of the PMC "Wagner".
