Evgeny Kruglov

Archaeologist. Kruglov was detained when he was on an expedition in a forest in the Tyumen region. He was taken to Omsk and interrogated, after which he was released on the promise that he would be sent for a psychological examination within a few days. On 11 August, the court ordered Kruglov to undergo a comprehensive in-patient examination. On 16 August he was admitted to hospital. After the case began to be considered by the court, Kruglov attempted to leave the country, but on the way he was detained by FSB officers, after which the court placed him in custody. On 12 December 2022, Kruglov was sentenced to eight months of correctional labour.
