Former mayor of Yekaterinburg. Earlier, Roizman was repeatedly fined under the administrative article on discrediting the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences) because of the statements he made on Twitter. He was detained in the early hours of 24 August in Yekaterinburg after searches at his home, at the Nevyanskaya Icon Museum he founded, and at his charitable foundation. Icons were seized from the museum - according to unconfirmed information, because of theft reports. According to official data, the case was initiated in Moscow; Roizman was going to be transferred there, but then was left in Yekaterinburg. On 25 November, Roizman was included in the register of individuals - "foreign agents". On 16 March 2023, Roizman was arrested for 14 days because of a post in his support group on social network VKontakte, which contained symbols of the FBK (Anti-Corruption Foundation) which was recognised as an extremist organisation. Roizman himself claims that he has never used VKontakte. On 19 May 2023, he was sentenced to a fine of 260,000 rubles (formally the amount of the fine was 280,000) (approximately 2.6 and 2.8 thousand euros), but it was reduced due to the time spent under the pre-trial restriction).
