Evgeny Semyonov

A resident of Karachay-Cherkessia. In August 2023, he was taken into custody on charges of organising, participating in, and being involved in the activities of an extremist organisation in connection with the Jehovah's Witnesses community. Representatives of this community are prosecuted under extremist articles solely for their religious activities: holding meetings, joint worship, and recruiting new adherents. On February 20, 2025, Semenov was sentenced to six years and three months in a general regime colony.
