Fidan Ismagilov
Biography
Ismagilov, a resident of Bashkortostan, participated in a citizen assembly in Baymak on January 17, 2024, in support of activist Fail Alsynov, who was sentenced to four years in prison. Ismagilov was apparently arrested under an administrative article on disobeying a lawful demand of a police officer (Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences). On January 27, 2024, relatives reported that Ismagilov was brought in for questioning in a criminal case on mass riots initiated after the gathering. He was taken into custody the same day.
