Biography
A resident of Ryazan, he worked at an oil refinery. According to human rights defender Ivan Astashin, in 2025, FSB officers contacted him posing as employees of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine. They were interested in him because of emotional comments made in 2022 in connection with the beginning of a full-scale war. Because of his correspondence with, as he believed, employees of the GUR, a case of high treason was brought against Nikitin.
