Gulsum Khalilova

A journalist of the Crimean Tatar TV channel ATR. She left Crimea in 2015. In 2019, a case was initiated against her for participation in an illegal armed formation: according to the investigation, she joined the Crimean Tatar "Noman Chelebidzhikhan" volunteer battalion and provided informational support to it. According to the journalist herself, she covered the energy blockade of Crimea, in which future volunteers of the battalion participated. In January of 2025, Khalilova was included in the list of extremists and terrorists of Rosfinmonitoring, marked as a person prosecuted under terrorist articles. On the 1st of April, 2025, a search was conducted on her parents' house in Crimea. As a result of the visit of law enforcers, the journalist's elderly father, Khalil Khalilov, who had been unwell for the past few days, was taken to hospital by an ambulance. According to the journalist, the result of the search was a protocol that said "nothing was found".
