Biography
He was detained on the night of September 10-11, 2017. On September 15, he was arrested on charges of attempted arson of property on the territory of the mining and processing plant after the second alleged arsonist Yevgeny Medvedev gave confessions against Asatullin. Medvedev also testified against Vasiliy Moskovets, one of the leaders of the ecological organisation 'Stop GOK'. Medvedev was immediately released on bail. Asatullin, however, faced pressure to testify against Moskovets as the initiator of the arson and also to refuse the services of his lawyer, Lepikhin. On February 6, 2018, Asatullin was placed under house arrest. On June 28, a measure of restriction was chosen in the form of personal recognisance, the same day the court returned the case to the prosecutor's office.
On March 29, 2021 he was sentenced to three years suspended sentence. On July 13, the appeal court dropped the charge of hooliganism and reduced the sentence to one and a half years suspended sentence.
