Biography
Resident of St. Petersburg. Detained on 6 April 2017. Another defendant in the case, his brother Mukhamadyusup Ermatov, said that Ibragimzhon was beaten up in the car after detention and had a bag put over his head. On 7 April he was taken into custody on charges of involvement in the terrorist attack in the St. Petersburg metro on 3 April 2017, as human rights activists believe, without sufficient evidence. At first he was kept in a pre-trial detention centre in St. Petersburg, then transferred to Moscow, in April 2019 he was taken to St. Petersburg like the other defendants.

On 10 December 2019, he was sentenced to 27 years in a high security prison. On 6 August 2021, the court of appeal reduced the sentence by two months.
