Igor Berezyuk is an activist, sympathiser of the Other Russia party, and a citizen of Belarus. He took part in the events on Manezhnaya Square on 11 December 2010, where he clashed with police and attacked people of "non-Slavic" appearance. He was detained in the office of the Other Russia on 30 January 2011 as part of a series of searches on the eve of the "Strategy-31" event. The court found him guilty of hooliganism, use of violence against a representative of the authorities, involving a minor in the commission of an offence, calls for mass disorder and incitement to hatred. The Tverskoy district court sentenced him to five and a half years in prison; the Moscow City Court later reduced the sentence by four months. Human rights activists believe that Berezyuk, as well as two other defendants in the Manezhnaya case, Ruslan Khubaev and Kirill Unchuk, became a victim of persecution due to their involvement in the activities of the Other Russia, as they were among the few prosecuted for the events in which hundreds of people took part, and in addition, people charged together with him, but not related to the Other Russia, received lesser sentences.

On 29 April 2016, he was released from prison.
