Biography

He's a resident of Kazankov in the Tula Region. The case was opened due to an incident at a Magnit supermarket in the village of Oktyabrsky on 23 November 2022. The same incident served as the basis for opening cases for discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and for displaying Nazi symbols.

According to the allegations, Kazankov, while intoxicated, caused a disturbance in the grocery store and stripped to the waist, displaying tattoos featuring Nazi symbols. In the parking lot next to the store, he shouted the phrase “Glory to Ukraine! Glory to Ukraine!”. He was placed in custody.

The criminal case also included two episodes of vandalism (Part 1 of Article 214 of the Criminal Code), the details of which were not disclosed. On 7 July 2023, Kazankov was sentenced to three years in a strict-regime penal colony, along with an additional two-year ban on administering websites. On 13 November 2024, a cassation court reduced the sentence; the details of the ruling were not made public. In 2025, Kazankov was allegedly released from prison.
