On 4 December 2019, he was sentenced to a year in prison for reposting an article in Vkontakte mentioning Mikhail Zhlobitsky and the explosion in the Arkhangelsk FSB. He pleaded guilty precisely on the fact of resharing the post: he wanted to know what comments the readers of the article would leave.
