Biography
He lived and worked in Dagestan and came to Odintsovo near Moscow to look for a doctor for his son - the child was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and epilepsy.
He was detained on 7 May 2014 and taken into custody. Initially the case was initiated under the article on illegal possession of explosives, in October the charge of preparation to commit a terrorist act was added. Human rights activists consider the case to be falsified and regard it as part of a campaign to pressure Muslims.
On 10 March 2016, Rizakhanov was sentenced to 14 years in a strict regime colony. He died in custody in February 2021.
