Ilya Chugaev

A resident of Syktyvkar. On 16 August 2024, he was taken into custody on charges of publicly justifying terrorism due to comments expressing support for the Freedom of Russia Legion and the Russian Volunteer Corps. It was previously reported that he had been detained under the same article for allegedly calling for attempts on the lives of Russian statesmen. On 29 November 2024, Chugaev was sentenced to three years in a general-regime penal colony.
