In early April 2022 at the latest, Gibeskul and his father were forcibly deported from Mariupol. In the group for missing persons, it was stated that people on the list were forcibly and illegally taken from Mariupol to Donetsk for filtration.
In April 2023, the student tried to leave for Poland through the Kaliningrad region, but Polish border guards refused to let the young man pass; he was detained by Russian border guards.
Gibeskul's phone was taken away, after which ten reposts appeared on his VKontakte page, which he has not maintained since 2019 (in particular, videos titled "Oath of the Azov

On 15 April 2023, a court in Kaliningrad arrested him for 15 days under the article on petty hooliganism. After that, Gibeskul was taken into custody on the case of public justification of terrorism.
On 28 February 2024, Gibeskul was sentenced to a fine of 60,000 rubles.
