Biography
Kholopov was a resident of the Novgorod region and a student at a technical school. After an argument with his classmates, during which Kholopov declared his intention to fight on the side of Ukraine, FSS officers came to his home and warned him that a case of high treason could be brought against him. In March 2024, he was detained on a train in St. Petersburg, from where, according to the investigation, he was going to go to the Bryansk region to cross the border there. In March 2024, he was detained on a train in St. Petersburg, from where, according to the investigation, he was going to go to the Bryansk region to cross the border there. At the trial, he claimed that he changed his mind about traveling at the last moment, but did not have time to change his ticket. A case of preparation for participation in the activities of a terrorist organisation and high treason was brought against Kholopov, and he was taken into custody. On 8 April 2025, he was sentenced to seven years in a strict regime colony.
