A resident of St. Petersburg, allegedly a freestyle wrestler. At the end of March 2023, he stopped his car at a pedestrian crossing, approached another driver and stated his negative attitude towards Russians and Christians, calling them fascists because of the war in Ukraine and because of his attitude towards Caucasians. The conversation was recorded on a video recorder. Initially it was reported that the man's name was Vahid Javadly, but later it turned out that Javadly was the owner of the car and Aliyev was driving. According to media reports, the police detained Aliyev, but he used "physical violence as well as fighting techniques" against them and fled. Because of this incident, a case was opened against him under the article on the use of violence against a representative of the authorities (part 1 of article 318 of the Criminal Code). On 5 April it was reported that Aliyev was detained, a video with his apologies was published. He was taken into custody. On 10 November 2023, Aliev was sentenced to a fine of 250 thousand rubles (≈$2700 as of 11/10/2023), which was reduced to 150 thousand rubles (≈$1630), taking into account his detention. On 18 April 2024, the court of appeal changed the sentence, assigning Aliev two years of penal colony. Presumably, he was released in February 2025.
