Inver Bekirov
Biography
Detained on 11 February 2016 during mass searches and detentions in Crimea. He was arrested on suspicion of participation in the activities of Hizb ut-Tahrir, banned as a terrorist organisation. On 13 January 2017, Bekirov was also charged with preparation for a violent seizure of power.
On 21 August 2018, the North Caucasus District Military Court, which was considering the case of Bekirov and the other five alleged participants of the "Yalta cell" of Hizb ut-Tahrir, decided to return the case to the prosecutor's office because, according to the court, Bekirov's charge does not correspond to the gravity of the act:

On 21 August 2018, the North Caucasus District Military Court, which was considering the case of Bekirov and the other five alleged participants of the "Yalta cell" of Hizb ut-Tahrir, decided to return the case to the prosecutor's office because, according to the court, Bekirov's charge does not correspond to the gravity of the act: he is named as a participant of the organisation, while the court believes that Bekirov was one of the organisers of the cell. Bekirov was reclassified from participation in the activities of a terrorist organisation to organisation of such activities, after which the case returned to the court.
On 12 November 2019, he was sentenced to 18 years in a strict regime colony.
