Since 2011, she taught English at the Olympic Reserve School in Penza. According to the investigation, when answering the students' question why they would not go to competitions in Europe, she expressed her position on the war. The teacher gave a confession, but later retracted it. Gen was given a recognisance not to leave the country. She wrote an application for dismissal at her own request on April 1st, 2022. She claims that the management did not insist on it and even wished her good luck in court. Gen gave a confession but later retracted it.
