Biography
The criminal case was initiated on 31 August 2021 against Vadim Gizatulin, Olga Zhelavskaya and Irina Mikhailenko; its materials were separated from the case of Vladimir Suvorov. Subsequently, the materials in relation to each of the three defendants were divided into separate proceedings. In July 2022, Mikhailenko's case was handed over to court. During the oral arguments, the state prosecutor asked to sentence Mikhailenko to four years' imprisonment and 10 months' restriction of freedom.

On 25 April 2023, the Metallurg District Court of Chelyabinsk found her guilty under part 2 of article 282.2 of the Criminal Code (participation in the activities of an extremist organisation) and sentenced her to a fine of 120,000 roubles.
On 16 August 2023, the Chelyabinsk Regional Court approved the sentence against Irina Mikhailenko.
