Islambek Kamchybekov

Detained on December 22, 2016 together with six other people on suspicion of involvement in Tablighi Jamaat, arrested. At the trial, he claimed that after detention the Federal Security Service (FSB) officers were applying "physical and psychological pressure" to him, forcing him to confess. On September 17, 2018, he was sentenced to six and a half years in a general regime penal colony. He was released in April 2022.
