Ivan Merezhnikov

Resident of the city of Votkinsk (Udmurtia). Public activist, opposed the construction of a landfill, in favour of building a physical training complex for people with disabilities. In June 2025 Merezhnikov was placed under house arrest on charges of illegal use of personal data. The accusation on him was written by the daughter of the mayor of Votkinsk. Public post in "Discuss Votkinsk" called the case "settling scores". In August, it became known that a libel case was also brought against Merezhnikov on the accusation of the mayor of Votkinsk.
