Khoso Esmurzaev

A resident of Moscow. Late in the evening of November, 26, 2013, detained together with twelve other people during a raid on the hostel where he was living at the time. He was accused of preparing for a terrorist attack on the Kirgizia cinema.

Human rights activists believe that there is no convincing evidence of his involvement in the crime; in their opinion, the persecution was part of a campaign to pressure Muslims.

O April, 22, 2016, he was sentenced to eleven years in a strict regime colony. Supposedly, he was released in November 2024.
