Spokesman for Alexei Navalny, author of the novel "The Incredible Events in Women's Cell Number 3".
On 30 January 2021, she was detained as part of a criminal case on violation of sanitary and epidemiological rules. On 1 February, the court sent Yarmysh under house arrest. Later she was charged with incitement to violate the rules.
On 16 August she was sentenced to one and a half years of restricted freedom. On 30 August it became known that Yarmysh left Russia. On 11 March 2022, it was reported that Yarmysh was wanted. On 16 June, the court commuted her remaining sentence -

In August 2022, it became known that a case was opened against Yarmysh for spreading deliberately false information about the Russian Armed Forces.
On 14 October 2022, she was entered in the register of individuals - "foreign agents".
