Biography
On 25 March 2021, Skripin's home was searched and he was questioned first as a witness, then as a suspect in the vandalism case. He later told his lawyer that on that day he was forced to sign a statement stating that he, together with other defendants in the case, was a member of a group of "civil self-defence groups" and had painted an inscription about Putin on the wall and thrown a Molotov cocktail at the wall. He was given an undertaking to appear. On 3 April, he was taken into custody for attempting to leave the country. On

On 23 September, Skripin was released from custody without the appointment of another preventive measure. On 13 March 2023, the court terminated the prosecution of Skripin.
