Kirill Smirnov

A resident of Nizhny Novgorod, a school student. In November 2023, an administrative protocol was drawn up against him under the Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses for discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation due to a video recording, in which he and a friend discussed Russia's invasion of Ukraine. It appears that no decision was made on the case, and in August 2024, it became known that a criminal case had been opened against him for spreading knowingly false information about the Armed Forces. On August 15, a restriction was imposed on him in the form of a ban on certain actions. On April 10, 2025, Smirnov was sentenced to two and a half years imprisonment in a general-regime colony.
