Konstantin Reznik

A resident of the Kherson region of Ukraine. He was detained on 22 July 2022 in a shop together with another person prosecuted in the case, Sergey Kabakov, taken to the building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, where he was beaten. Then they took him home for a search. According to him, after the search he was tortured with electric shocks, had his head dipped in a pail of water, and then was hung by his hands on the bars for several hours. Sometimes he was not allowed to eat for several days. After the torture, he found himself in the same car with his own grandson and agreed to testify. His testimony was recorded on video for the TV channel "Russia 24". On 28 July Reznik was brought to the square, where he received money from another person prosecuted in the case, Yuriy Tavozhnyansky, after which he was returned to the basement. This operation, as it later turned out, was necessary in order to detain Tavozhnyansky. According to Kabakov, they were taken together with Reznik to the operational experiment tied up in a boot. The experiment was a staged video: Reznik was supposed to stand with Kabakov's bag and wait for him to be detained. In his own words, at this point he was so weak he could not lift his head himself, it was turned by a special forces fighter. The consent to participate in the experiment, according to Reznik, they signed later. In October 2022, he was taken to Simferopol, where he was officially taken into custody on charges of involvement in the preparation of assassination attempts on employees of the civil-military administration, after which he was again beaten. On 13 October Reznik was taken to Moscow. He was charged with participation in the activities of a terrorist community and preparation and attempt to commit acts of international terrorism. On 30 January 2026 Reznik was sentenced to 20 years in a strict regime colony.
