As a result of these actions there were no casualties, the damage to the premises amounted to 11 thousand rubles. The video of the action was posted by Astashin on the Internet under the title "Happy Chekist's Day, bastards!". The participants positioned the arson as a "non-violent direct action against the FSB", an act of political protest. 18-year-old Kseniya Povazhnaya threw two Molotov cocktails at the windows of the FSB department. In the morning of 12 March 2010, FSB officers detained Ksenia and Ivan Astashin in the flat where they lived. After the detention, Povazhnaya was diagnosed with a concussion. A few days later, both were released on their own recognisance. After an attempted departure and repeated detention on 28.12.2010, Astashin and Povazhnaya were placed in custody. 12.04.2012 Moscow City Court sentenced Povazhnaya to 8 years in a general regime colony. On 23.07.2012, the Supreme Court reduced this sentence to 4 years.
