In March 2022, it was reported that a criminal case had been opened in Makhachkala against members of a local cell of 'Citizens of the USSR,' including Larisa Bachieva, who was placed on the wanted list.

On March 16, 2023, she was detained in Belgorod and brought to Dagestan. On March 23, the Sovetsky District Court of Makhachkala ordered her to be held in pre-trial detention, despite the fact that she has a seriously ill minor child.

On April 14, the Supreme Court of the Republic of Dagestan granted Bachieva house arrest due to her health condition. Later, the preventive measure was changed to a ban on certain actions.

On September 13, 2024, Bachieva did not attend the hearing at the Kirovsky District Court of Makhachkala due to hospitalization. She had informed the court about her condition on the same day, before the hearing began. However, the judge ruled that Bachieva had fled and ordered her detention. On September 19, she filed an appeal against the decision and returned to the hospital. The following day, she attempted to fly to Moscow for urgent business, but was detained at the airport and sent to the pre-trial detention centre. She was released on October 4 after the Supreme Court reviewed the appeal.
