Biography
Municipal deputy of Basmanny district of Moscow, a graduate of VGIK (Russian State Institute of Cinematography), a journalist and an actress. According to her, she decided to get involved in politics after seeing a minor being brutally detained by police officers. She reported on the anlawful actions of the officers, but didn't receive any reply from police.
On 2 February 2021, she was repeatedly detained in a special detention centre, where she was serving an arrest in connection with a rally in support of Alexei Navalny on 23 January. On 3 February, the court sent Stein under house arrest. Later

On 3 February, the court sent Stein under house arrest. Later she was charged with incitement to violate sanitary and epidemiological rules. On 7 April, a preventive measure in the form of a ban on certain actions was chosen. On 25 August, she was sentenced to a year of restricted freedom.
On 8 April 2022 it became known that Stein left Russia. In May, she was declared wanted. On 30 June, the court replaced the rest of her one-month sentence with imprisonment in a general regime colony.
In February 2023, it became known that a case was brought against Stein for disseminating deliberately false information about the Russian Armed Forces. In May, it was reported that the Investigative Committee was checking the activist's tweets. Stein was put on a wanted list again. In November 2023, she was arrested in absentia.
On 27 March 2024, Stein was sentenced to six years in absentia.
