On 19 April 2018, detained in a case on the activities of an extremist organisation. Released on the recognizance not to leave.

On 12 November 2019, the court returned the case to the prosecutor's office. On 16 December 2020, the court of cassation instance returned the case to the court of first instance. On 1 June 2022, the court of first instance sentenced Galaktionova to two years' suspended sentence.
