Biography
A resident of Krasnodar. On 9 April, 2025, he was detained and taken into custody in a case of justification of terrorism and preparation to participate in the activities of a terrorist organisation.
The first charge relates to Barashkin's comment calling to set fire to the Prosecutor's Office building in St. Petersburg under the news about the Prosecutor General's Office filing a lawsuit to recognise the Vesna protest movement as extremist. On 7 October, 2025, the court sentenced Barashkin to seven years in prison, of which he is to spend the first two years in jail and the remaining time in a strict regime prison colony.
