On July 16 in St. Petersburg, the police detained Sergeyeva and her friend because of the inscription "Peace to Ukraine" in front of the 'Elektrosila' metro station. The girls were held at Detention Center No. 29 for 15 hours and drew up protocols for discrediting the army and petty hooliganism. However, on July 25, Sergeyeva's lawyer informed her that a criminal case of vandalism had been opened against her and there was a possibility that the charges could be reclassified under a more serious part of the article.
