Biography
Mark Feygin, a former State Duma deputy and former lawyer, previously defended Nadezhda Tolokonnikova in the Pussy Riot “punk prayer” case, as well as Ukrainian pilot Nadezhda Savchenko, who was accused of killing Russian journalists. He is the host of the YouTube channel Feigin LIVE, which focuses on the war in Ukraine. Feygin is also one of the leaders of the “Congress of People’s Deputies”, a Polish-founded gathering of former Russian lawmakers that has been designated an “undesirable organisation”. In April 2022, he was added to the register of “foreign agents”.

In October 2023, it emerged that Feygin had been declared wanted in a case concerning alleged “fakes” about the Russian army. In January 2024, it was reported that he had been arrested in absentia. On 16 July 2024, he was sentenced in absentia to 11 years in prison.
In November 2025, Feygin was again arrested in absentia, this time in connection with a case of illegal border crossing for entering the territory of Suja when it was under the control of the Ukrainian army.
