Biography
A resident of Melitopol. On 20 August 2023, he was detained. Later he said that he was tortured with electric shocks, beaten and forced to sing the Russian anthem. A case was opened against him on preparation of a terrorist attack, transfer of explosives using the Internet and death threats. In October 2023, the Rossiya-1 TV channel broadcast a story in which the detained Kaliush said that he had received an assignment to photograph Rosgvardia facilities, pick up a "bomb", take it to one of the facilities and detonate it. He was allegedly diagnosed with schizophrenia. The investigation considered him to be one of the administrators of a Ukrainian Telegram channel involved in the preparation of sabotage. On 7 July 2025, the court sent Kaliush to compulsory treatment. On 24 August 2025, Kaliusz was handed over to Ukraine as part of a prisoner exchange. On 23 September 2025, he was included in the list of extremists and terrorists of Rosfinmonitoring.
