Maxim Babaev

A resident of Nizhny Novgorod region. On November 15, 2023, he was detained together with his mother after setting fire to a military recruitment center in the town of Shakhunya, 70 kilometres from their home village. They were acting on instructions from telephone scammers. Babayev was accused of committing a terrorist act by a group of persons. On July 24, 2024, he was sentenced to four and a half years.
