Mikhail Nikitin

He has repeatedly criticised the authorities and participated in protests. In 2020, an administrative case was opened against Nikitin for insulting the authorities in a Facebook post. That case was dismissed due to missing the deadline for bringing to responsibility. He also participated in several actions against the construction of a temple in a park in 2017-2018. Journalists 66.RU spotted Nikitin at rallies against the demolition of the TV tower in winter 2018. In November 2022, a case was opened against the activist for committing a terrorist act because of an attempt to set fire to a military recruitment centre. On 5 December 2023, Nikitin was sentenced to six years in a strict regime colony.
