Mustafa Degermendji

Detained on 7 May 2015, accused of participation in mass riots in the case of clashes in Simferopol on 26 February 2014. According to relatives, the investigator offered Degermendzhi release from custody in exchange for testimony against Akhtem Chiygoz, whom the investigation considers the organiser of the mass riots. He was kept in a pre-trial detention centre, on 6 April 2017 he was transferred to house arrest.

In June 2018, Mustafa Degermendzhi was sentenced to four years and six months suspended sentence. The probation period is three years.
