Nadezhda Vertiakhovskaia

A resident of Chelyabinsk, participated in actions against the construction of the Tominsk Mining and Processing Committee. On April 23rd, 2021, the door of her flat was flooded with polyurethane foam - this happened on the day when she was going to get acquainted with the materials of the case of arson of the combine, in which the eco-activists were convicted. In January 2023, she was fined 40 thousand roubles under an administrative article on discrediting the army (Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences). In September 2023, leaflets appeared on the entrances of houses in Chelyabinsk, in which Vertiakhovskaia was called a traitor to the homeland; it also contained a screenshot of a post about contempt for Putin in connection with the war. The public activist said that the account where the post was published did not belong to her.

In October 2025, Vertiakhovskaia was searched in a case of defamation of a judge. The reason was reviews on the website "Judges of Russia" in 2022 and 2025 about judge Anna Shmeleva, who sentenced lawyer Vladimir Kazantsev, who represented the interests of eco-activists, to four years in a colony in a fraud case. Kazantsev died in the colony in December 2024.

In December 2025, Vertyakhovskaya signed a non-departure undertaking.
