At the beginning of June 2017, anti-Ukrainian websites and media outlets in Krasnodar region started spreading information demanding criminal prosecution of Mykola (Mykola) Dadeu, a Ukrainian citizen engaged in SEO, website optimisation and promotion. It is known that in 2014-2015 he was a volunteer, supported the AFU and Ukrainian volunteer formations. In the summer of 2015, Dadeu married a Russian citizen on the territory of Ukraine, after which he moved to her in March 2017 in the city of Novorossiysk, Krasnodar Krai, received temporary registration there, and according to media reports, was collecting documents to obtain Russian citizenship....

It is known that in 2014-2015 he was a volunteer, supported the AFU and Ukrainian volunteer formations. On 13 June 2017 (although his wife speaks of detention on 12 June, when he went to the police and never returned) Dadeu was detained by police officers, after which he was twice (on 13 and 28 June) brought to administrative liability for allegedly committing administrative offences under Art. 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation ("Petty Hooliganism") with a penalty of 15 days of administrative arrest. On 10 July 2017, Dadeu was taken from the detention centre to the FSB's Investigative Department of the Krasnodar Territory, where he was charged under part 5 of article 33, part 2 of article 282.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Facilitating participation in the activities of an extremist organisation by providing aids of committing a crime"), after which he was sentenced into custody by the Oktyabrsky District Court of Krasnodar. On 21 May 2018, Nikolai Dadeu was found guilty and sentenced to 1 year 6 months' imprisonment with serving his sentence in a penal colony. In January 2019, he was released from prison.
