Biography
Veprikov was detained in the morning of 23 June 2023 after a search, the next day the court sent him to custody as part of the military "fakes" case. On 27 July, the court decided to release Veprikov on his own recognisance, the next day he was released from the pre-trial detention centre. On 23 September, Veprikov was arrested in absentia: according to the investigation, he went to Georgia. He was put on the wanted list. Initially, Veprikov was charged with the 1st part of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code, but then reclassified to distribution of deliberately false information

Initially, Veprikov was charged with the 1st part of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code, but then reclassified to distribution of deliberately false information about the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on the grounds of political hatred (paragraph "e" part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code). In November, the appeal court cancelled the decision on the arrest in absentia.
