Oleg Chunosov

He is a resident of Blagoveshchensk and worked at a cold storage plant. On 17 July 2023, he was detained near the airport building while trying to fly to Moscow. He was arrested for 15 days under the administrative article on disobeying the lawful demands of a government official. Chunosov later said that unknown people put a bag over his head, so he started resisting. Later, a case of preparation for treason was opened against him. In August 2023, a video of Chunosov’s arrest was published, in which he claims that he planned to “fight the Russian authorities with arms”. Chunosov later recounted that he was forced to confess. He admitted guilt. He was kept in custody. On 25 June 2024, Chunosov was sentenced to six years in a strict regime colony.
