Biography
A resident of Pervouralsk (Sverdlovsk region). In September 2024, he was detained by FSB officers at the Verkhny Lars checkpoint while attempting to cross the border between Russia and Georgia. A case of terrorist attack and participation in a terrorist organisation was opened against him. According to the law enforcers' version, in August 2024 Podkorytov filled out an application form to join the Freedom of Russia Legion, after which he set fire to a relay cabinet at the Pervouralsk - Podvoloshnaya station crossing on the instructions of the unit's representatives.

In court, Podkorytov said he filled out the questionnaire when the Ukrainian army invaded the Kursk region because he wanted to "help stop the war." He also said he "was and remains against the war" and in 2023 even quit his job at Leroy Merlin in Pervouralsk because most of the staff were "in favour of the SWO and supported killing those who are not with us".
On 19 November 2025, Podkorytov was sentenced to 15 years in prison, of which he must spend the first five years in prison and the remainder in a high-security colony.
