Biography
Former head of Navalny's Moscow Headquarters. Declared his candidacy for the State Duma.
On 28 January 2021 he was detained at the exit from the special reception centre, where he finished serving administrative arrest in connection with the announcement of a rally in support of Alexei Navalny on 23 January. On 29 January, the court sent Stepanov under house arrest. Later he was charged with incitement to violate the rules. On 20 August he was sentenced to a year of restricted freedom. On 26 January 2022 it became known that Stepanov was put on a federal wanted list. According to him,

On 2 June, the court changed the rest of his sentence from restriction of freedom to real imprisonment.
