Oleg Zhukov

A resident of the working settlement of Maina (Khakassia). On 26 January 2026, a search took place at his home. They came to him at the time when he was organising his son-in-law's funeral. The next day Zhukov was sent to custody on charges of organising the activities of an extremist organisation due to his involvement in the Jehovah's Witnesses community. Representatives of this community are prosecuted under extremist articles solely because of their religious activities - holding meetings and worship services and attracting new supporters.
