Olga Mikhailova

A lawyer representing the interests of Alexei Navalny. In January 2024, it became known that a case was opened against her for participation in the activities of an extremist community. Earlier, in October 2023, three other Navalny's lawyers were taken into custody as part of the same case. Mikhailova, who was abroad at the time, did not return to Russia. She was put on a wanted list and arrested in absentia on 15 February 2024. Mikhailova later told Meduza that the reason for her arrest in absentia was their overheard conversation with Navalny about the alleged poisoning. "Look, I'm afraid to sound paranoid, but I think I'm being poisoned here," the politician said during a meeting with his lawyer on 11 April 2023. Mikhailova tweeted about it. The recording of this conversation, according to Mikhailova, was used as evidence that she was involved in an "extremist community."
