According to her, when she came with the applicant, who had suffered from fraudsters, to a pre-arranged meeting, one of the employees tried to throw her out of the room, grabbed her and pushed her on the metal grate.
A few days later, the "MIA 24" telegram channel published a video from the surveillance camera in the police station, where the attack on the human rights defender allegedly took place. The recording shows that the policeman held Suvorova by the elbow, after which they talked and then she left the department.
A criminal case of false denunciation was opened against Suvorova. She was detained on 18 December 2023 at Krasnoyarsk airport after she returned from a meeting of the initiative group of former Russian presidential candidate Ekaterina Duntsova in Moscow. The next day the court appointed her a ban on certain actions as a preventive measure. At the end of December, by court order, the woman underwent a psychiatric examination, and in January she was sent for a second examination.
Suvorova believes that the reason for the persecution was her participation in the campaign in support of politician Ekaterina Duntsova. Before she was ordered to undergo a psychiatric examination, the Investigative Committee offered her, according to her, several times: "You confess guilt and everything will be over".
On 8 October 2024, Suvorova was sentenced to a fine of 125,000 rubles. During the sentencing she cut her wrists in protest.
